The scene of the shooting which left 50 dead, and 55 injured.
The American Mesopotamian Organization (AMO) condemns, in the strongest and clearest terms, the murderous attack on the Pulse nightclub on June 12, 2016.
Many of our members who reside in the US were forced from their homes and lives by the same violent strain of Islamic terror that motivated the shooter in Orlando, FL. Out of respect for the victims of this tragedy, and in consideration of the safety of the entire US nation, AMO is calling on members of any and all Islamic communities in the US to do the decent, human thing, and report all and suspicious activities or violent statements from their members.
AMO is also calling on the US government and President Obama’s administration to more aggressively monitor and prosecute anyone who voice support for Islamic violence. Having lived in countries where governments routinely fail to protect their minorities from violent Islamists, we have deep empathy for the survives of the Orlando attack – both those who escaped the attack with their lives and the family members of the poor souls who did not.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all of the victims of this horrible tragedy.
With the deepest sympathy,
David William Lazar
